80th  Birthday

In February 2004, CPH 6 celebrated it's 80th birthday. The CMR held a gala day for the occasion, running a shuttle service to Chakola using both 6 and 22, changing at Bunyan. The day culminated with a cake cutting at Cooma station, conducted by the local state MP with some 80 year old local Cooma residents as guests. The photos (taken by CMR member John van Voorst) tell the story of the day.

The sausage sizzle was popular!

The cake was superbly presented.

The guests cut the cake.

Meanwhile, out at Bunyan, CPH22 approaches from Chakola.

Bunyan was a busy place as the changeovers occurred!
