Housed in the beautifully restored Cooma Railway Station building, the museum is the culmination of over five years of hard work from our amazing volunteers and is the first major milestone in the development of the Cooma Monaro Railway Museum.

We are steadily restoring the Cooma Railway Precinct and have commenced our monthly Fresh Produce Markets at Cooma Station. These wonderful markets are a special opportunity to both purchase local produce and to inspect the work undertaken so far at Cooma Railway Station. Markets occur on the second Sunday of each month between 9 am and 1 pm.

We are also now working to secure funding for track repair so that we may operate our fleet of ex-NSW Government Railways CPH-class railmotors southwards out to Rock Flat and beyond to Nimmitabel and eventually on to Bombala.

The Cooma Monaro Railway’s fleet of three NSW Government Railways CPH-class railmotors and a CTC matched-carriage stand at Cooma Station in 2012.
