Over the past few months, our team have been working through the cleaning and preparation work for the restoration of our Timber Bodied Refrigerated Box Van MBC22959.

Before visible repairs could be commenced, decades of dirt, grease and oil had to be removed from the body, along with areas of rotten and damaged external timbers. This allowed us to access the internal structure and replace sections of rotting support structure, as well as addressing areas of rust on internal plates and bolts.

In recent weeks, our resident timber maestro Daryl, has commenced the replacement of the exterior timbers which is really bringing the van back to life. There is plenty of work still to do, but it’s great to see it progressing and we can’t wait to see it completed.
