Over the past 6 months, our volunteers have been working on another exciting project to install new historical interpretation signage around the Cooma Railway Precinct.
This project will see the upgrade of existing signage, installation of additional way-finding signage around the precinct and extend the interpretation signage to items of rolling stock.
The work on this project has been completed almost entirely by our volunteers, including:
🔹 Structural design of sign frames
🔹 Layout and positioning around the precinct
🔹 Fabrication of the various steel frames
🔹 Painting and installation of the steel frames
🔹 Research and development of the sign content
🔹 Graphic design of each panel
Frames for all of the new signs have been fabricated and are currently being installed around the precinct, while the first of the new information panels will be installed in the coming weeks.
This project will be a great addition to the museum precinct.
